The English language is sometimes hard to tame. For every rule, there is a valid argument to contradict it. English grammar has changed constantly over the centuries and many of the rules we now hold true haven't changed since Victorian times, long before the birth of blogs, Facebook or Twitter.
While Copycat respects the need for grammar, the rulebook is there to be brushed aside when necessary. The written word should be modern, exciting and engaging. If this means splitting an infinitive or two, then let's boldly go and do it.
